Description	:	MARCOS ANTONIO MIRANDA BIOGRAPHY Marcos Antonio Miranda is currently executive producing a short film titled DEAD & ALIVE, directing a feature documentary title RAGGA NATION: THE TRUE STORY OF REGGAETON and developing the latest installment to his acclaimed documentary film series on hip-hop legend Big Pun tentatively titled BIG PUN REMEMBERED. Recently he was hired as a guest director for the feature film NOTHING SACRED featuring renown French actors Philippe Nahon (High Tension) and Thierry Lhermitte (An American Werewolf in Paris, Le Divorce), and was the second unit first assistant director for the feature film SHANGHAI HOTEL starring Hill Harper (CSI: New York) and Peter Greene (Pulp Fiction, The Mask). For three seasons he served as assistant stunt coordinator on Comedy Central’s CHAPPELLE’S SHOW. His directorial credits include the interview series INSIDE HIP-HOP (Image Entertainment) hosted by radio personality Fatman Scoop which features the likes of Russell Simmons, Damon Dash, Fat Joe and others, and the highly acclaimed documentaries BIG PUN: STILL NOT A PLAYER and BIG PUN LIVE; both films based on the life and times of the late Christopher Rios aka ‘Big Pun’. The first Latino, solo, hip-hop artist to achieve platinum status. The films feature the likes of Nas, Ice-T, Fat Joe, Liza Rios, Cuban Link, RZA, Raekwon, Triple Seis, Xzibit, and others. He also co-starred and directed the action-drama BLAZIN’, featuring Sascha Knopf (What’s The Worst That Could Happen?) and Fat Joe (Scream 3, Empire). It remained on Billboard’s ‘Top 40’ for six consecutive weeks. He starred and directed an episode in the series ONCE UPON A RIDE for the Black Filmmaker Foundation and executive producer Warrington Hudlin (House Party, Boomerang). He directed the award winning documentary, AMERICA’S WAKE-UP CALL featuring and narrated by Academy Award-winner F. Murray Abraham and the sports talk show ONE ON ONE featuring baseball superstar Sammy Sosa. His commercial credits include OLYMPUS, L’OREAL, THE HALLMARK CHANNEL, NFL FILMS, SEALY POSTUREPEDIC and THE SOURCE ALL ACCESS. Some of his more notable music videos include ME ESTAN HABLANDO DEL CIELO featuring the late Celia Cruz, UNEMPLOYED featuring the Spanish-rock band Bodega, BON-BON featuring Latin Grammy winner El General and WE RIOT for the highly acclaimed grunge/hip-hop group Tha Riot. As an actor, Miranda co-starred opposite Yancey Arias (NBC's King Pin, Thief) and Lisa Vidal (Lifetime’s The Division, Third Watch) in the urban-drama DESTINATION UNKNOWN, which won the Best American Independent Film Award at the 1997 Hamptons International Film Festival.
